Client demands frequent updates about their truckload of onions, trucker maliciously complies: 'You want updates? I will give you all the updates'

When you get overly worked up about your job, it's important to remember it's just a job; it's not like someone's life is at stake or anything… Of course, this logic doesn't really apply if you're a Cardiothoracic surgeon in the middle of an operation because—well, someone's life is literally at stake. Other forms of employment with the same level of gravitas also need not heed this advice. Still, there's no use crying over cut onions—if you can help it… and there's no use getting overly worked up over your six pallets of onions either if you happen to be waiting on a delivery of a literal truckload of onions.

This client messaged this long-haul delivery driver at 2:30 AM about their onion delivery, wondering why he was stopped by the side of the road and demanding frequent updates as to the status of their delivery. Annoyed at having been woken up and at the micromanaging that the client was resorting too resolved to send them as many updates as possible about their journey. Who sits up in the early hours of the morning just thinking about onions? Who knows, maybe this customer just really likes them.

We pay extra for team drivers, so no stops and our products are temperature sensitive and time critical. I normally pull a tanker with a pre elog, un tracked, ungoverned truck. 99 percent of what I do is dedicated. Boss says I'm picking up at 1 of 2 places then emails me a load number and rack time.
